After hours of adrenaline-inducing, heart-pumping adventures on the mountain, it’s nice to round out the day with a meal with your nearest and dearest. But finding kid-friendly dining can be one of the most stressful parts of the vacation, especially once a case of the hangries set in. Fortunately, Whistler’s varied food scene will keep the whole family happy and satisfy even the fussiest critics.

Where to eat in Whistler with kids

While all Whistler Platinum homes have fully equipped kitchens stocked with pots, pans and all of the necessary appliances needed to cook a scrumptious meal fit for a king, sometimes you really can’t beat exploring the culinary wonders of Whistler Village. To help you navigate the dining scene with kids in tow, we’ve curated a list of Whistler’s favourite family-friendly restaurants. From casual apres to breezy breakfasts and fine fare, Whistler offers a multitude of places to eat with price ranges to suit every budget. Après

GLC (Garibaldi Lift Co.) 

World-renowned as “the” place to après, the Garibaldi Lift Company (GLC) is located above the Whistler Gondola building, overlooking skiers cruising down Whistler Mountain. Order their signature (and massive) nachos plate, or their delicious daily flatbread features. Kid-friendly until 10 pm.Apres at GLC Whistler

Milestones 

An inviting atmosphere at the base of Blackcomb Mountain, Milestones offers familiar food with a twist. Kids can chow down on mini burgers, chicken fingers and grilled cheese. No meal is complete without a mini cookie topped with ice cream!

Dubh Linn Gate 

In true Irish fashion, Dubh Linn Gate warmly welcomes families to indulge in its hearty pub fare, lively ambience and a wide selection of draft and craft beers. Take in Whistler Village’s best mountain views from the heated patio while the kids enjoy the Dubh Linn Gate’s famous fish and chips! Kids are welcome until 9 pm.Dubh Linn Gate Whistler

Breakfast 

Crepe Montagne

This authentic french creperie is the place to go for sweet or savoury crêpes, cheese fondues and Swiss Raclette. The décor and atmosphere are homey, comfortable and reminiscent of France. During the summer months, sit under the shade of umbrellas on the Crepe Montagne patio, freshly squeezed juice in hand and watch the world go by. 

The Wildflower 

Open for breakfast and dinner, The Wildflower at The Fairmont Chateau Whistler serves locally inspired dishes and new classics in a warm and inviting resort setting. Choose from their grand buffet breakfast selection or a la carte menu to fuel the whole family for adventure-filled days in Whistler. And to sweeten the deal, children 5 and under eat free when a parent is eating too. Kids aged 6 – 12 can choose from the children’s menu or receive 50% off the regular adult menu, including the buffet! 

Lunch/Dinner

21 Steps 

Local’s favourite 21 Steps is a casual restaurant committed to yummy modern comfort food and generous portions. Enjoy tapas-style dinners, mouth-watering appetizers, full entrée dishes and signature cocktails for the adults. The lounge-like Attic upstairs is perfect for quieter meals in a more intimate setting.

Caramba! 

Wood-fired pizza, rotisserie, pasta and seafood are prepared in a traditional Mediterranean style at Caramba. The lively surroundings are ideal for families, and the atmosphere is very relaxed as Caramba is used to having the kid-crowd join them in the earlier part of the evening. Kids can splurge on spaghetti and meatballs, cheese pizza, and ice cream.Caramba Whistler

The Brewhouse 

Both a pub and a restaurant, the Brewhouse is a stop that shouldn’t be missed on any dining tour of Whistler. The cuisine offers an appetizing kid-approved menu of barbecue and rotisserie classics, with exceptional pizza and pasta options. The availability of five on-tap beers will sell The Brewhouse to the adults. Located adjacent to the Whistler Olympic Plaza and outdoor skating rink.

Creekbread

This Creekside eatery offers natural pizzas baked in a primitive wood-fired oven. A stress-free option for families staying in Creekside or those who don’t mind the quick 5-minute drive from Whistler Village. Kids will be enthralled by Creekbread’s giant wood-fired pizza ovens and pizza-tossing chefs.

Earls 

The Earls Whistler location has it all from pasta and stir fry to steak and seafood with a casual West Coast vibe. Kids’ options include Asian noodles and rice bowls, burgers, crispy prawn rolls and salads, with sticky toffee chocolate pudding for dessert.Family friendly dining at Earls Whistler

Splitz Grill

The number one burger destination in Whistler, Splitz Grill gives you the opportunity to build your own burger. Pick a meat patty (or veggie patty) then pad the bun with your selections of fresh veggie add-ons, sauces and dressings. To amuse the kids, order an Octodog – Octopus-shaped fried hot dogs! 

Pizzeria Antico 

This pizzeria is taking pizza back to its old school Italian roots with wood-fired fornos. This rustic casual restaurant offers delicious Neapolitan-style pizza, fresh pasta, salads and a large craft beer selection. Pizza Antico’s sun-soaked patio is a great summer option as it sits on the edge of Florence Peterson Park, a great spot for the kids to run around. 

Tandoori Grill 

One of BC’s finest Indian restaurants, Tandoori Grill’s signature dishes are prepared using a charcoal-based clay “Tandoor” oven, a favoured technique of India’s Moghul kings. Enjoy samosas, pakoras, butter chicken, prawn vindaloos and fresh naan bread and rotis.

Sushi Village 

Known for its vibrant atmosphere, terrific sushi, and legendary sake margaritas, Sushi Village is a great social experience for the entire family. Old Spaghetti Factory

One of the most popular family restaurants in Whistler, The Old Spaghetti Factory is kid-friendly and wallet-friendly. The ‘it’s all included’ menu means all entrees come served with Italian bread, soup or salad, ice cream and tea or coffee. 

Sweet Treats

COWS

Purebread 

It’s hard to overstate the perfection of Purebread Whistler’s mouthwatering scones, decadent slices, heavenly fresh bread and the wide assortment of savouries, cakes and treats. With a location in Function Junction and the Whistler Olympic Plaza, you won’t have to travel far for a slice of baking heaven. 

Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory 

The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory offers Whistler’s finest chocolate such as their chocolate clusters, moguls, truffles, caramel toffee or bark all mixed with roasted nuts or candy.
