Whistler Platinum believes that your personal information deserves protection. The terms “users” or “you” as used in this Privacy Policy, refer to both travelers, who use the Site to look for properties to rent, and owners who signup with Whistler Platinum and list their properties for rent.  It also applies to other visitors to our site – for example, those applying for a job through the site.

Personal Information

As a general policy, no personal information is automatically collected when you visit our sites. Non-personal information relating to site traffic and usage is gathered for internal evaluation to help us better serve you. Our website systems only capture personal information identifiable to you, including your e-mail address, when you specifically give them to us to receive information.

In order to complete your booking and facilitate billing and collection, or provide you with the information that you request, it will be necessary, at times, to ask for certain personal information such as your name and address, telephone number or e-mail address. The purpose for which customer information is collected shall be identified before or at the time the information is collected.

When you interact with our website, we automatically receive and store certain types of information, such as the content you view, the date and time that you view this content, the products you purchase, or your location information associated with your IP address. We use the information we collect to serve you more relevant advertisements (referred to as “Retargeting”). c. Facebook Conversion Tracking Pixel

With your permission, our website utilizes the Conversion Tracking Pixel service of Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave., Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA (“Facebook”). This tool allows us to follow the actions of users after they are redirected to a provider’s website by clicking on a Facebook advertisement. We are thus able to record the efficacy of Facebook advertisements for statistical and market research purposes. The collected data remain anonymous. This means that we cannot see the personal data of any individual user. However, the collected data are saved and processed by Facebook. We are informing you on this matter according to our information at this time. Job Applicants

If you use the Site to apply to work with us, we will use the information you supply to process your application and to monitor recruitment statistics. Where we want to disclose information to a third party, for example where we want to take up a reference, will not do so without informing you beforehand unless the disclosure is required by law. Personal information about unsuccessful candidates will be held for 12 months after the recruitment exercise has been completed, it will then be destroyed or deleted. We retain de-personalized statistical information about applicants to help inform our recruitment activities, but individuals should not be identifiable from that data. Whistler Platinum is based in Canada and employee and recruitment data is held there.

Once a person has taken up employment with us, we will compile a file relating to their employment.  At that stage, we will give you more details about how we hold employee details.

We implement a secure processing server on our site when collecting information to ensure a high level of security for your personal information entered such as bank details and credit card information.

By providing information to us when subscribing, contacting us or otherwise using the Site, you expressly agree to this Privacy Policy.  This Privacy Policy was last updated on November 5, 2016.  This Privacy Policy applies from that date.  We may occasionally amend this Privacy Policy to reflect regulatory requirements, advances in technology, Site updates and changes in our information collection and disclosure practices.
