Whistler invites you to celebrate New Year’s Eve with a number of FREE events suitable for all ages, brought to you by the RMOW and the Province of British Columbia.

Fire & Ice Show

Dates: December 31

Time: 8:30 PM

Location: Skier’s Plaza in Whistler Village (base of Whistler and Excalibur Gondolas)

Description: It wouldn’t be a New Year without a dazzling display of lights and sounds over snow! Show and music begin at 8:30 with fireworks display at 9 PM.

Celebrate Responsibly

Please note the Whistler New Year’s Celebration is an alcohol-free event. There is no consumption of alcohol allowed outside of licensed venues. For a complete list of Whistler New Year’s parties and celebrations visit whistler.com/christmas.

Expect a heavy police presence patrolling the roads, village, and transit stop. There will be bag checks entering Whistler Village so leave your alcohol at home.

The Village of Whistler will be running FREE buses starting at 6 PM to 3:30 AM.

Garfinkel’s Midnight in the Mountains

Kick off the New Year at Garfinkel’s Whistler with Midnight in the Mountains — an unforgettable celebration in the heart of the village. Immerse yourself in a vibrant atmosphere of live DJs, dazzling décor, and flowing drinks as the countdown begins. Longhorn Saloon: Now! That's What I Call New Year's Eve 2025

Dance the night away to a mix of the hottest tracks and classic hits, expertly curated by a live DJ! Welcome glass of bubbles upon arrival. Doors open at 8:00 PM.

Throwback at Blacks

Arrive early to enjoy the best view in town of the famous Fire & Ice show, followed by a live DJ, who will be performing upstairs in the pub, digging into his crates of classic funky tunes (with a few recent bangers just for good measure). From 8.00 PM

Bar Hop NYE Edition

Why choose one party when you can choose four!? Whistler Bar Hop takes you to four of the hottest NYE parties in town, as guided by your Bar Hop host. Your Bar Hop ticket includes five drinks, pizza, express entry, snowmobile tours, merchandise giveaways, and professional party hosts.
